First Boundaries Basics Seminar in 1 Week
Posted on September 13th, 2008 by Lynn Erhorn, tags: Boundaries, Five Languages of Apology, Joyce Shelton, Perissos, Small Group FacilitationI’ve been distracted with a number of other things, but this day is fully dedicated to finishing up the student workbook for the Boundaries Basics seminar that begins September 20. I reached out to the Cloud/Townsend people and asked about copyright restrictions. Now that I’m aware I must keep the number of words used from the text down to 300, I have changed gears and will use the current form of the workbook as a facilitator’s manual, then go back and take out much of the text and replace it with lines for students to fill in. I like this approach better, as it will keep them engaged…vital when the seminar is a full day.
Sister Joanne has agreed to come and be my assistant. That’s terrific.
I also sent out the Boundaries Exit Survey to 10 of the 13 people who took the April class. Need to get to the other three by regular mail early next week.
In other Perissos news, I’ve finally got the major pieces of the basic design for this website in place, and need to get back to filling in the content. It has been decided that Joyce and her husband Chuck will co-officiate the ordination ceremony so I can complete the requirements for my nonprofit organization.
I’m studying “The Five Languages of Apology,” with Joyce this Fall, which will involve teaching one chapter and facilitating a small group for the entire 9 weeks. Found a great deal on both the Boundaries book and the Apology book at Lifeway, so I snapped up a half dozen copies of each to store for the future.
