Health and Wellness Seminars

The 7-Step Peak Energy Challenge

This program introduces essential information regarding your health that will allow you to increase energy, increase productivity, decrease stress, and increase mental clarity. We will achieve this by covering the seven steps to peak energy and dispelling the misinformation and myths regarding: 1. Diet; 2. Water intake; 3. Nutritional supplementation; 4. Powering down; 5. Responsible Living Series

Boundaries Comprehensive 12 Week Program w/ Small Group

Boundaries Basics Intensive Weekend Seminar

Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Boundaries define who we are and who we are not – where we end and others begin. Learn when to say YES and how to say NO to take control of your life. Discover the meaning and purpose of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual boundaries as well as the truth about popular myths concerning how boundaries fit into our daily life. Based on the nationwide best-selling book from Christian psychologists John Townsend and Henry Cloud. We consider this our “anchor” course and encourage everyone to take it in one of the several formats we offer.

Supporting Boundaries 6-Week Small Group

This 6-week small support group follows the Boundaries courses to help keep students encouraged and disciplined in using the concepts they have learned. Includes brief review of essential principles each week, practical application techniques based on group members’ individual circumstances, and relationship building for ongoing support.
Prerequisite: Any of our Boundaries courses.

The Five Languages of Apology
(L. Erhorn) $40

This 6-week class covers five methods of apologizing and why you should practice them, according to authors Gary Chapman & Jennifer Thomas, best-selling authors of “The Five Love Languages.” When you say to others, “I’m sorry” do you find they don’t quickly trust you again? We all need to practice a life of forgiveness but why do we seem to avoid it like the plague? Students will learn how to genuinely restore broken relationships, the reasons for and the “how to’s” of apologizing to your spouse, family members, your children, work associates, dating relationships, and yourself. If your relationships are eroded with unforgiveness, emotional distancing, and tip-toeing around issues hoping they will go away, these principles hold the potential for powerful transformation.

Individual Life Coaching (L. Erhorn)

Individual coaching sessions for those who have participated in Perissos training or been referred to us through their church or another ministry. Temperament analysis, personalized walk-through of course material,  support and encouragement, and prayer accompany practical advice and goal assignments. Established By The Word of God (Gospel Fundamentals)

A not-to-be-missed opportunity for life-long Christians, those brand new to this faith, or even those curious to understand what it really means to be a follower of Christ Jesus, this study gets back to the basics in a friendly, accessible, and profound way. You will be guided through a workbook each week that will help you answer questions by finding the answers for yourself right in the scriptures – right in the classroom. Then, you will build the foundation for your daily walk upon what you find and apply these essential principles to your life. No matter where you are in your faith journey, if you have any desire to discover or deepen your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, this is an extraordinary opportunity you will always remember. Essential Christian Doctrine Seminar

It is vitally important to anyone choosing to follow Christ to be rooted and grounded in the essential truths that have identified us and unified us throughout the centuries since Jesus walked the earth.  This half-day seminar will help you understand the essential beliefs held by all Christians throughout history, and to separate those from the traditions of our families, denominations, and current trends.  More importantly, you will learn how to listen for the truth in everyone making a claim “in the name of Jesus,” in order to defend your faith and protect yourself from false teaching.
4 hours. Tuition includes all course materials.

The Truth Project (Facilitated by L. Erhorn) $40

A DVD-based curriculum taught by Dr. Del Tackett through Focus on The Family’s ministry. This study is an excellent and compelling starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. We believe this one project represents the possibility for exponential change within the body of Christ, as we expect that many will be transformed by this curriculum. 11 Weeks (22 hours) Tuition includes all course materials and website registration.

Introduction to Theology (Facilitated by L. Erhorn) $100

An intensive, seminary-level course that will help you understand what you believe and why you believe it, presented in cooperation with Reclaiming The Mind ministry.  This is for the serious student who desires deep discipleship.  There is no requirement that you hold a specific belief, but you will be exposed to an accurate, respectful description of all major Christian views and traditions, an understanding of the history of the church, and an opportunity to develop a personal theology that you can explain and defend.
12 Weeks (22 hours) Tuition includes text books and workbook.

Benevolence Services

Your donations help us maintain funds that allow us to cover our costs and provide our core services to those who could not otherwise afford them.  We believe financial hardship should never be an obstacle when someone is committed to making the choice to step into responsible living.  You can help someone in need by contributing to any of these funds:

Scholarship Fund.Covers the cost of tuition to our already low-cost seminars and courses when there is financial need.  Contributing here also helps those who can pay their own costs because it helps us fill classes (low registration results in cancellation of classes).

Life Coaching Fund.In these uncertain economic times, with so many unemployed and uninsured, we’re bridging the gap by providing personalized encouragement and guidance in developing themselves into better decision-makers and in overcoming stumbling blocks to their personal and spiritual development.  We don’t take the place of medical or psychological care, but we do offer an alternative we believe is desperately needed today.

Benevolence Fund. Helps our clients meet some of their immediate financial needs while they are developing themselves.  To be eligible for assistance from this fund, the recipient must be an existing or past Perissos Resources client, provide documentation to support their claim of financial hardship, and have demonstrated to ministry leadership a firm commitment to accomplish goals set in private coaching. Make an enormous difference with a small contribution.

Equipping Fund.Perissos Resources sets aside a portion of its book and DVD inventory to give to current and potential clients at no cost.  Recipients of these giveaways are completely at the discretion of ministry leadership based on discernment of readiness to make a choice for responsible living.
