On November 8, I offered the last of 2008's all-day "Boundaries Basics," seminars at New Life Christian Fellowship. We had another small group - 4 ladies this time - and it was a wonderful time full of revelation and affirmation for us all. I am encouraged by another round of overwhelmingly positive exit surveys and by the brightness in the eyes of the students as they complete the day's learning eager to bring their new skills to their lives. There was also a lot of interest in the "Supporting Boundaries," follow-up course I'm offering those who have already been through preliminary training. Cancellation, Ceremony, and Celebration!
We had only 2 registrants for October, so I have asked them to join us for the November 8 session. We have 2 others registered for that and I expect more, so we should have a nice group again. I'm looking forward to it. Dr. Joyce and I have done some good work on her web site and most of the staff have faithfully provided their bios. I'm grateful for the opportunity to bless Joyce in this way and am humbled that God would bring our lives together so that both would be enhanced to His glory. What an honor! I am redoubling my efforts to complete all of the assignments for The Missionary Church International so I can receive my nonprofit status and begin to minister full time. Successful First Boundaries Basics Seminar
We had a great day last Saturday (September 23). It was a small group: six students. I was expecting five, but there was a late registrant the evening before the seminar. Happily, I had extra copies of the text and the workbook. Three of the students were a family (father, mother, adult son), one was my sister, and two other women. A very nice mix. We started a little late, but that was budgeted for. It was the first time trying out the timing of the sessions and I am pleased to report that we reached our lunch break at an ideal time and ended an hour ahead of schedule.
